If possible, the customer's metal moulds should be cleaned with non-hazardous cleaning agents. The final cleaning should also be as residue-free as possible. The use of particularly volatile solvents, which evaporate quickly, was prohibited by the company as they are too dangerous for employees.
The process for solving a cleaning problem at ECO-NOVA always follows three defined steps. This sequence has proven itself in practice and guarantees optimum service and the fastest way to solve our customers' cleaning challenges.
Together with the customer, we analysed the local conditions, the property to be cleaned and the current situation. The task quickly became clear. A cleaner without hazardous substances was needed. The parts to be cleaned consist mainly of metals such as steel. Cleaning is currently carried out in 1 pass. The cleaners used are based on VOC-containing substances, which should also be reduced in the best case. The wish is also to continue cleaning in one step in the future.
Based on the customer's requirements, suitable cleaners were selected from the existing range and brought to the next appointment on site by our technical advisor. In a specially prepared cleaning situation, several cleaning runs were carried out with Eco-Nova cleaners. The solvent Topclean proved to be particularly efficient. However, the wish to continue cleaning with a solvent free of hazardous substances in a single work step had to be abandoned. Aspects such as no hazardous substances and VOC-containing products were more important to the customer. The compromise is a solvent with excellent dissolving properties, but low volatility, so that post-cleaning is necessary.
The customer has decided in favour of our proposed solution. He is now using our Topclean solvent. In doing so, he is dispensing with hazardous substances in his production and is making the compromise of post-cleaning.
