Acidic cleaners
Acidic cleaners remove mineral deposits such as limescale, rust, and cement and concrete film, which alkaline or neutral cleaners are largely unable to tackle. Eco-Nova offers Oxinova, Novascal and Meganova for this purpose. They are labelled as corrosive – we can advise you on selection, dosage and safety precautions.

That’s what it’s all about
Problem and Solution
The challenge
Lime, rust and cement residues adhere firmly and build up with every layer. Acids that are too strong or unsuitable can corrode metals, wash out joints or etch surfaces. Mechanical removal is time-consuming and often causes further damage to the material.
Our solution
We select the cleaner based on the type of deposit and the material, and adjust the dosage accordingly. This allows you to remove deposits using as little acid as necessary. Our acidic cleaners are labelled as corrosive; protective equipment and instructions for use can be found in the safety data sheet. On request, we can demonstrate how to use them on site.
Typical areas of application
- Descaling of systems and pipework
- Removing rust from metal surfaces
- Cement and concrete residue on machinery
- Mineral-based flooring and tiles
- Boilers and mixers

Technical articles & success stories
Acidic cleaners for mineral deposits
Acidic cleaners are the first choice for removing limescale, rust or cement residues. They effectively dissolve mineral deposits and are used in many industrial areas - from the construction industry to metalworking.
Typical properties & areas of application
Due to their low pH value, they are particularly effective against inorganic residues. Typical areas of application are pipework, tiles or metal surfaces.
Advantages of Eco-Nova cleaners
Our acidic cleaners are formulated to tackle different types of deposits, so you do not need to use more than is necessary. Like many strongly acidic cleaners, they are classified as corrosive and must be used with appropriate protective equipment – please refer to the safety data sheet for further guidance.
Application examples & advice
