the project

Cleaning silicone residue on PU rollers, machines and floors

briefly explained

The customer has problems with silicone deposits in the entire production area. These are deposited on PU rollers, machines, floors and operating equipment. Cleaning is currently proving to be unsafe for people and the environment, as the solvents used contain VOCs and hazardous substances.

analysis - consulting - solution

The process for solving a cleaning problem at ECO-NOVA always follows three defined steps. This sequence has proven itself in practice and guarantees optimum service and the fastest way to solve our customers' cleaning challenges.

THE PROCESS

Step 1

Analysis & stocktaking

The customer is currently using solvents containing hazardous substances to dissolve the silicone deposits. The current application requires personal protective equipment and focussed handling to avoid accidents at work. It is important to the customer that the machine parts are not attacked. These include high-quality PU rollers and metal parts in particular.

Step 2

Consultancy & demonstration

After jointly analysing and discussing the customer's requirements, various cleaners and solvents from Eco-Nova have already emerged as possible options. The cleaners were presented by our technical consultant during the joint demonstration appointment in production. The dissolving power was tested in advance on a dustpan that was particularly stubbornly contaminated. In the second step, the compatibility of the surfaces was tested throughout the entire production process. All cleaners proved to have a high level of surface compatibility.

Step 3

Solution

Due to the high surface compatibility of the selected cleaners, the focus could be placed on the cleaning effect and dissolving power, so that the customer decided in favour of our industrial solvent Planntex 100. This does not attack PU rollers or other surfaces and proved to have the best cleaning effect.

The optimal cleaner

To the cleaner:

What our customer says

With Planntex 100, we have finally found a cleaner that does not attack our surfaces in the production hall and at the same time effectively dissolves the silicone deposits. As Planntex 100 can be used without damaging components such as PU rollers, this solution is ideal for us. In addition, Planntex 100 is not a hazardous substance, which means that the use of PPE is no longer necessary. Our employees are very satisfied with Planntex 100.
