The process for solving a cleaning problem at ECO-NOVA always follows three defined steps. This sequence has proven itself in practice and guarantees optimum service and the fastest way to solve our customers' cleaning challenges.

The customer contacted us because the use of the current solvent is no longer up to date due to the hazardous substances it contains (declaration with flame, torso and exclamation mark pictogram) and the employees should be better protected in future.
The flammable solvent was applied pure and used to clean the mixing vessels. Pigments and other additives are added to the plastic compound in the mixing vessels in order to produce special properties for the masterbatch granulate.

Consultancy & demonstration

After an initial assessment of the cleaning processes over the phone, our technical consultant had several samples (10 litre canisters) sent to the customer free of charge for a large-scale cleaning test on site. During the joint demonstration of our cleaners, Microsolv in particular proved to be an effective solvent for removing pigment and additive residues from the boiler surfaces.
The cleaning effect even surpassed that of the solvent containing hazardous substances. In addition to the hazardous substance-free formulation, Microsolv offers the advantage of being dilutable with water and can therefore be used particularly economically. Certain pigments, such as ultramarine blue, require a higher cleaning effect. A diluted Microsolv mixture can also be used for pigments and additives that are easier to dissolve.

Solution

The customer already realised the advantages of Microsolv during the demonstration. In addition to an excellent cleaning effect on the most stubborn pigments, the application in a diluted mixture is another advantage, as this saves costs and reduces emissions. In addition, the main requirement of replacing hazardous substances was fully met, as Microsolv does not contain any hazardous substances. The safety and health of employees will be significantly improved by Eco-Nova in the future.
