Based in Grafschaft Bentheim, near the Dutch border, we have been developing and producing industrial cleaners for more than 30 years. We offer our customers ideal cleaning solutions as well as safety for people and the environment. With free and non-binding technical advice at the customer's premises, we analyse individual problems and challenges and guide you together to an optimal cleaning solution. On the way there, we are helped not only by daily dialogue with customers and interested parties, but also by the many years of experience of the entire team. Our range includes industrial cleaners for particularly stubborn soiling. At the same time, we also develop new „tailor-made“ cleaners with customised formulations for your individual requirements.
Eco-Nova GmbH was founded in 1993. Based in Gildehaus, Rudi de Leeuw started selling cleaners for commercial and industrial customers.
Initially, the focus was on cleaners based exclusively on natural and biodegradable ingredients.
After just a few years, the premises in Gildehaus became too small. In 1999, the time had come to move into the new and current company headquarters in Schüttorf on Textilstraße.
The development and production of cleaning agents is possible in the new building.
In 2008, the property bubble bursts and the global economy begins to falter. Eco-Nova also feels the consequences of the global crisis.
Eco-Nova emerges stronger from the crisis thanks to reorganisation and optimisation measures.
In 2010, the new REACH and GHS regulations will come into force.
A huge administrative and organisational feat had to be accomplished. All documents, categorisations and recipes had to be checked and adapted.
The changes presented both opportunities and risks for Eco-Nova.
The first steps have been taken towards optimising advice and solving industrial cleaning problems.
The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic once again left its mark. An unprecedented restriction on the ability to act brought major challenges.
The „forced“ change towards more digital working was implemented. The consequences can still be felt today and the organisation has undergone a digital transformation.
At the same time, the entire corporate identity was modernised. The new logo and website give Eco-Nova a modern look.
Today, in addition to the development and manufacture of safe industrial cleaners, the focus is on service and advice.
The organisation is fully geared to the needs of customers and offers a high level of expertise and flexibility towards customers.
Eco-Nova GmbH took over the Dutch company Green4Clean on 1 January.
This acquisition brings together two companies that share the same attitude: Innovation, sustainability and measurable added value for customers.
Eco-Nova is strongly positioned in the German industry, while Green4Clean has been firmly established in the Dutch market for many years - including in road and hydraulic engineering, offshore, harbour logistics and industry. Together we now supply customers in Europe and parts of Asia.
The founder of Green4Clean, Kees Breij, will remain actively involved until 2027 and will support the transition phase.
Green4Clean will remain an independent brand and will be further developed internationally under the Eco-Nova umbrella.
The purchase agreement was signed in November 2025. Now the next phase of growth begins: innovation, internationalisation and sustainable impact. 💚🌍

With the age-related handover of the business activities of Nixdorf Vertrieb Deutschland on 1 January 2019, the production and distribution of Nixdorf FMO cleaners was taken over by Eco-Nova GmbH.
Since 1 May 2021, the former Nixdorf FMO cleaners have been manufactured and sold under the new name „öFix“ by öFix FMO GmbH, a subsidiary of Eco-Nova GmbH based in Schüttorf.
