Successful launch of our Nova Safe S solvent for cleaning aluminium moulds that are contaminated by polyols and isocyanates, among other things, during the production process.

The process for solving a cleaning problem at ECO-NOVA always follows three defined steps. This sequence has proven itself in practice and guarantees optimum service and the fastest way to solve our customers' cleaning challenges.

The customer complained about deposits of sole material consisting of the main components polyol and isocyanate on his aluminium moulds. As aluminium is not always an easy material to handle, the customer turned to Eco-Nova to solve the problem together. The current cleaner was a simple neutral cleaner with high compatibility but insufficient cleaning effect.

Step 2

Consultancy & demonstration

It was already made clear in the preliminary discussion that the aluminium moulds are very sensitive and must not be damaged by cleaning under any circumstances. This applies both in the short and long term, e.g. through gradual wear and tear.
It was therefore clear that the cleaner itself must not attack aluminium and that mechanical support should be used as little as possible.
Various cleaners were used in the test, all of which do not attack aluminium.

Step 3

Solution

After analysing the cleaning results with 4 cleaners, our innovative Nova Safe S solvent was the most effective. In addition to the best cleaning effect, all other criteria were also met, so the decision was made quickly and the customer is now cleaning safely and effectively with Nova Safe S.
