Bitumen, resin, tar
In road construction and civil engineering, bitumen, tar and asphalt stick to pavers, rollers, mixers, tippers and tools. Eco-Nova offers cleaners that dissolve these residues – for example, Bituclean, which is not classified as hazardous according to its safety data sheet. In addition, there are release agents that help prevent these residues from adhering in the first place.

The challenge
Bitumen and tar harden as they cool and adhere firmly to metal and rubber. Diesel is still frequently used for cleaning – however, diesel is classified as harmful to health and dangerous to the environment, can corrode seals and must not be allowed to seep into the ground. Scraping it off mechanically takes time and damages surfaces.
Our solution
Bituclean and Bituclean Extra dissolve bitumen and tar and, according to the safety data sheet, are not classified as hazardous. For resins and mixed contaminants, cleaners such as Combisolv TR or Microsolv NX are suitable. As a preventative measure, the release agent Antistick 130 reduces the adhesion of asphalt (labelled; see safety data sheet).
